NanoSTeW at AAMS 2026 in Cambridge
On 16 September, Silja-Katharina Rittinghaus presented our work at the Alloys for Additive Manufacturing Symposium (AAMS 2026) at the University of Cambridge. Her talk, "Towards Understanding Dispersoid-Matrix Interactions in Oxide-Strengthened Copper Alloys", was part of the session "Novel Functionalities & Smart Materials". It covered what happens to oxide nanoparticles in CuCr1Zr during laser and electron beam powder bed fusion, and how this affects strength and electrical conductivity. The talk was joint work with Daniel Borchert, Garvit Sharma, Sina Petschel, Joachim Gussone, Jan Haubrich, Prithwish Tarafder and Larissa Feitosa. www.aams2026.eng.cam.ac.uk
